Secretary Certificate

The Secretary Certificate course covers skills from each of three subject areas. Whilst not as broad as our Executive Secretary Diploma course the individual subjects are taught to the same level (OCR Level 2). This course is ideal if you are new to the secretarial world and you can build the Certificates into Diplomas at a later date if you wish.

QUALIFICATIONS - 3 Certificates at Level 2

The course leads to three Level 2 Certificates.  The Level 2 Certificates in ITQ and Administration are awarded by OCR whilst for the Level 2 Certificate in Text Processing you have the option of OCR or Lewis College qualifications (the syllabus is the same but the examination is different).

You will also be awarded the "Lewis Secretarial College Secretarial Certificate"


For the ITQ and Administration Certificates your qualifications are gained by completing assessments at home.  For the Text Processing Certificate you will need to complete timed exams.  You can sit these at home or at an approved OCR centre depending upon which certification option you choose.


The standard course time frame is 10 months and your course timetable will be based on this.  You will however have up to 16 months within which to complete the course.

The Level 2 ITQ Certificate

Improving Productivity, Email and Personal Information Management (MS Outlook), Slide Presentations(MS PowerPoint), Word Processing (MS Word).

The Level 2 Text Processing Certificate

Text Production, Audio Transcription, Word Processing, Speed Keying.
