The Secretary Certificate course has been accredited by NCFE, an awarding organisation recognised by the qualification regulators for England and Wales. NCFE’s regulators are the Office of Qualifications and Examinations Regulation (Ofqual) in England and the Welsh Government in Wales. This course isn’t regulated by Ofqual but has been accredited by NCFE under their IIQ Licence.

Touch Typing and Speed Development
We have invested in an interactive program from America to help develop your touch-typing skills, which you will have access to throughout your course.
After developing a good technique, you will find your speed develops over the weeks and you will have lots of different practice assignments to complete and a few games as well to help push the speed!
This section covers a range of different administrative tasks you will need to carry out in your role as a Secretary. You will cover topics such as supporting business meetings and business trips, diary management and composing business documents. You will also look at the role of the Secretary, using office equipment and developing your research skills.
Using a range of MS Office programs is an essential aspect of being a Secretary. In this section of the course you will study Excel, Word, PowerPoint and of course Outlook - the key program used to communicate through email. You will also develop your skills in using the Internet for research purposes.
This section of the course will enhance your document presentation skills and ability to use Word to a business standard. You will cover the program in depth concentrating on the design and production of business documents using tables and editing techniques. You will learn how to professionally display business letters, information in tabular format, as well as audio transcription skills.
