The Secretary Certificate Course is designed for those looking to have a career as a Secretary and to study a shorter course compared to the Executive Secretary Diploma Course.

Suitable for those with some experience working in an office as well as complete beginners looking to develop a professional career as a Secretary.

This is a popular course for those looking for a short course enabling them to apply for Secretarial/Administration jobs or top up existing skills.

The Secretary Certificate course provides one Certificate at Level 2 (Intermediate).

Length of Course

The Course Programme is 8 months based on 5-8 hours study per week.  However the course is open for 10 months providing you with longer access to the course so you have more flexibility in your studying.  You also have the choice of completing the course as quickly as you wish including studying full time.

The whole course can be completed from home including the Assessments. There is no need to attend any exam centre or ourselves.

Course Content

IT Section – 5 Modules

In this section of the course you will study Excel, Word, PowerPoint and of course Outlook - the key program used to communicate through email.  You will also develop your skills in using the Internet for research purposes.

Administration – 6 Modules

This section covers a range of different administrative tasks you will need to carry out in your role as a Secretary.  You will cover topics such as supporting business meetings and business trips, diary management and composing business documents.  You will also look at the role of the Secretary, using office equipment and developing your research skills.

Business Documents – 5 Modules

This section of the course will enhance your document presentation skills and ability to use Word to a business standard.  You will learn touch typing as well as how to professionally display business letters, information in tables, create and edit reports and create documents using audio transcription.
