Having founded the College nearly 35 years’ ago I am still very hands on!
I started my career as a Legal Secretary and then worked at Partnership level in London and Devon before studying for a Certificate in Education at Garnet College London.
I have been teaching for nearly 35 years and have also contributed to editing teaching books published by Heinemann.
I love the world of education, developing new ideas, new courses and courseware. It is also great to see so many of our students move forwards in their professional careers having studied one of our courses. We have so many great stories over the years from different students telling us how well they are progressing.
I am the College Principal responsible for our accreditation with our different awarding bodies and ensuring we maintain standards in our teaching, our courses and service to our students.
I also teach some specific topics in personal development on our top courses as well as provide a mentor role for our students.
For every student I also provide CV design, interview techniques and support whilst they apply for jobs.
I also work with Simon in developing our courses and courseware as technology opens up more options.
Another role I have is to liaise with recruitment agencies, personnel working in NHS, business organisations and other professionals working in education and the office professional sector, to ensure we keep on the front line of providing quality courses for our students.
I am married with 2 daughters, both involved in education and who are now involved in the College on a part time basis.
